You know at P.Louise we love a full glam moment, but sometimes when you’re in a rush, a quick smoky eye can give the illusion of a full makeup look without all the fuss. A smoky eye can get messy quickly, making them look muddy or heavy if you apply too much or don’t blend it out, which is why we’ve put together a quick step-by-step guide for you to perfect a sultry smoky eye.

Step 1: Shape The Brows
Using our Hold You Down brow balm, brush the product through the eyebrows separating the hairs and creating your ideal brow shape, securing them into place.
Step 2: Apply The Base
With a #7071 flat brush, apply our Rumour eyeshadow priming base with a shade closest to your skin tone, pat the base across the lid right up to the brows and around the eye area. Use a fluffy brush to blend any edges out for a seamless application.
Step 3: Apply Shadows
Begin the blending process with a #115 brush with our baked bronzer or your lightest blending shade and cover the eyelid. Then use a smaller brush and a deeper shade to fill out the crease.
Step 4: Blend The Shadows
Going back and forth blend those two colours together and blend the darker shade up more and diffusing 50/50 to ensure there are no harsh lines.
Step 5: Waterline & More Base
Add a dark line along the bottom of the lower waterline to frame the eye. Apply some more Rumour base underneath the eye and repeat those same blends we did previously underneath for that same smoke effect.
Step 6: Add Shimmer & Lashes
For a full glam look or something more smoky, apply a matching shimmer on top of the lid and finally add lashes to finish the eye look.. Apply setting spray to lock the final eye look in place.
